Supervision

Clinical supervision is an essential part of working ethically & effectively with our clients. Good clinical supervision offers a safe & containing space in which to restore your helping reserves, reflect on your practice, & learn & grow as a practitioner. Done well, it should be nourishing & restorative, as well as stretching.

As with therapy a good supervisor/supervisee relationship is a collaborative one with the intention of helping to support you with any difficulties you may be facing in your work & providing advice & guidance if & when necessary. It is also about helping you to explore & uncover those skills & resources you already have, as well as helping you to develop those you might need going forwards.

I am a hugely experienced clinical supervisor, having over 20 years in clinical practice supervising qualified multi-disciplinary professionals & trainee clinical psychologists. I also hold a post graduate diploma in clinical supervision from The University of Sheffield & have undertaken further specialist psychotherapy supervision training. I am passionate about providing compassionate & containing supervision which empowers you to provide the best support for your clients.

A clinical supervision session lasts 60 minutes & costs:

£120 for in-person sessions

£100 for online or telephone

I currently can offer supervision sessions either face to face, by telephone, or online via Zoom depending on your needs & preference. The advantage of online or telephone sessions is that supervision can be woven into the fabric of daily life much more easily. It also has distinct advantages for people who don't have access to transport, have difficulties with their health or are living with high levels of fatigue. The advantage of face-to-face sessions however is often the opportunity for a greater degree of attunement & connection. Face-to-face sessions are conducted from the beautiful, tranquil rooms of The Practice Rooms in Broomhill, Sheffield.
